De Strelitzia nicolai, ook bekend als de paradijsvogelplant, is een grote groene kamerplant die dol is op zonlicht. Met zijn prachtige grote groene bladeren vult hij perfect de lege hoek van een kamer. Oorspronkelijk afkomstig uit Zuid-Afrika, kan de Strelitzia in volle zon tot wel 10 meter hoog worden! Deze kamerplant staat ook bekend om zijn schitterende bloemen die in het wild groeien. De bloemen hebben iets weg van paradijsvogels, wat de plant de naam 'paradijsvogelplant' of 'bird of paradise' heeft gegeven! In huis zal deze kamerplant helaas niet zo snel bloeien, maar de prachtige grote groene bladeren zijn al een genot op zich. Het kan voorkomen dat er af en toe scheuren in het blad ontstaan. Dit is volkomen natuurlijk voor de paradijsvogelplant en hoef je je geen zorgen over te maken. De Sofia plantenpot is gemaakt van zeegras. Dit natuurlijke materiaal wordt gedroogd en gevlochten, met een prachtige plantenpot als resultaat. De Sofia plantenpot is gemaakt van zeegras dat is gedroogd en gevlochten.
