‘Clematis Jackmanii’ is een clematis met middelgrote, diep paars-blauwe bloemen. Deze verschijnen tijdens de zomermaanden, juli tot september. De clematis is een winterharde plant die de Nederlandse winter uitstekend kan verdragen. Hij heeft een grote sierwaarde vanwege de mooie vorm en bloeiwijze. Snoei de clematis aan het einde van de winter terug tot 30 cm boven de grond, zo krijg je de rijkste bloei en hou je de plant goed in vorm. Wanneer je de clematis langs een rek of schutting wilt laten groeien is het raadzaam de plant een beetje te helpen. Dit kun je doen door de nieuwe uitlopers netjes langs het rek te binden of door de schutting te leiden.
