Uiterlijk van de plant: De Aloe Vera plant heeft vlezige, groene bladeren die in een rozetvorm groeien. De bladeren zijn vaak voorzien van kleine, witte stipjes en hebben een puntige uiteinde. Ze kunnen een vlezige textuur hebben en zijn vaak iets gekromd. Bloemen komen zelden voor binnenshuis en verschijnen in een lange, opstaande bloemstengel met oranje of gele buisvormige bloemen.

Standplaats: De Aloe Vera doet het het beste in een zonnige locatie. Plaats de plant op een plek met helder, indirect licht of gedeeltelijke directe zon. Binnen kan de plant een vensterbank of een plek dichtbij een raam met veel licht goed verdragen. Buiten kan de plant in een zonnige tuin of op een terras worden geplaatst.

Waterbehoefte: De Aloe Vera heeft een lage waterbehoefte. Laat de bovenste laag van de aarde volledig opdrogen voordat je opnieuw water geeft. Tijdens de wintermaanden kan de waterbehoefte verder verminderd worden. Zorg ervoor dat de pot goed doorlatend is om wortelrot te voorkomen.
