Verzorging en onderhoud van de Lilium Gomera

Care and maintenance of the Lilium Gomera

The Lilium Gomera is a graceful hybrid lily that can transform any garden with its striking flowers and rich colors. This lily requires relatively little maintenance, but proper care will ensure that it reaches its full potential. Start by planting the bulbs in spring or fall, depending on your climate. Choose a location with well-drained soil and add organic matter to improve soil quality.

The Lilium Gomera likes a sunny location, but protect the roots from overheating by using ground cover or mulch. During dry periods, regular watering is essential, especially when the plant is in bud and during flowering. Be careful not to let the soil get too wet, as this can lead to root rot.

Fertilize the plant once every two weeks with a fertilizer rich in phosphorus and potassium. This will support flowering and the development of healthy bulbs for the following year. After the flowers have finished blooming, you can leave the stems until they have completely withered. This helps the bulb to store energy for the next flowering period.
