Styling en inspiratie: een hortensia voor elke tuin

Styling and inspiration: a hydrangea for every garden

The versatility of the hydrangea makes it a favorite of gardeners and designers. With its abundance of flowers, it brings a lush look. But how can you best style it in your garden?

Romantic borders: Combine hydrangeas with other flowering plants such as roses, salvia or lavender for a romantic border. Choose harmonious colours such as pink and purple or go for a contrasting effect with white hydrangeas next to deep red flowers.

As a hedge or solitary: A row of hydrangeas can form a beautiful, natural hedge, especially the panicle hydrangea. But also as a solitary in a large pot or in the middle of a flowerbed, the hydrangea attracts all the attention.

Seasonal Changes: Hydrangeas change with the seasons. The flowers often retain some of their color into the fall, which provides a beautiful transition. Leave faded flowers in the winter for an icy, sculptural look.

For every garden: Whether you have a large garden or a cozy city garden, there is always a hydrangea that fits. Compact varieties such as the 'Little Lime' are ideal for small spaces or pots, while large varieties such as the Annabelle can fill your garden with impressive flower clusters.
